Mount Enterprise VFD

The Mount Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department was founded and incorporated in 1974 and has been serving the residents in the Mount Enterprise area for almost 50 years. The department is located at 103 West Gregg St. next door to the Mount Enterprise City Hall.

The department currently has 11 members and meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month under the leadership of Chief Deniese Case. The department houses 6 emergency vehicles that include a new pumper/engine and brush truck. The department has certified medical first responders as well as certified fire fighters on their roster. They recently received a new ISO insurance rating of a 5/10 which is a 5 for residents within a 5 mile radius of the department and a 10 rating for 6 miles and over from the department.

The Mount Enterprise VFD holds an annual vet clinic in July of every year as well as 3 blood drives a year. They provide mutual aid to all of Rusk County and primarily to the Laneville, Eastside, New Salem and Reklaw Volunteer Fire Departments.  The department prides themselves on their dedication to saving lives and property in Rusk County.
